Scorpion Tubular Systems, LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas Services, provides exclusive and patented tubular servicing systems for both in-plant use and for onsite/mobile servicing of tubulars. The Scorpion system has been in development for the past three (3) years. This mobile service can be a package service related to Resource Rental Tools customer needs, as well as other work strings the Operator is using and the Drilling Contractor’s drill strings, eliminating huge transportation costs. Additionally, this system can be utilized to refurbish existing production strings and casing strings prior to running operations. This system is the first of its kind and class with record setting capabilities, to not only clean the OD and ID of tubular’s simultaneously but, also to gauge the outer diameters of the tube and tool joints of any size drill pipe or tubing strings, assuring that each joint meets specifications determined by the customer.
